Starting on 16 March 2018, register here for the Dru Yoga Pre-natal post graduate course in Snowdonia Expand your knowledge, learn how to teach pregnant women and post natal ladies with their babies. This post graduate course will give you 36 CPD points

This course is open to all Dru Yoga teachers.

This comprehensive course is designed to train Dru Yoga graduates  in the practical skills to confidently and safely teach yoga classes to pregnant women. We will examine the most common concerns yoga teachers have when embarking into this special area of teaching and demonstrate the fulfilling role of a Dru prenatal yoga teacher. This training explores how to empower women to trust in the miracle of birth and utilise the yogic techniques to face the challenges of pregnancy, labour and birth.

Dru teacher, Rosie Marsden did the course in 2016 and writes this:

What a fantastic experience! The amount of care, attention to detail and knowledge packed into this course is exceptional. Padma and Alison led us through the course covering a wide range of teaching techniques, care plans and partner classes to help mums to be and their families to prepare for the miracle of birth. I came away from the course feeling confident in what I had learnt, not only to take into my classes but to also use the antenatal care plan for my own practice. So whether you are planning a family or wanting to offer sessions to your students, this course is really an essential tool to add to your belt.

Snowdonia Mountain Lodge, Nant Ffrancon, Bethesda, LL57 3LX

Get a direct train from London! Only 3 ½ hours' train journey away from London Euston, Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is situated on the A5, eight miles south of Bangor and 2 miles south of Bethesda in the Nant Ffrancon Valley, North Wales.

By road

From the north (Manchester, Liverpool etc), leave the A55 at junction 11 and follow signs for Bethesda and Betws y Coed. Drive straight through Bethesda, passing the entrance to the Ogwen Bank Caravan Park on your right. The entrance to the course centre is about 1 mile on your left, just after a small stone chapel, where the valley opens out. Begin to slow down when you see the road sign warning of sheep on the road. There is a large sign just outside the course centre.

From the south, travel through Betws-y-Coed on the A5. After some 7 miles, pass Lake Ogwen on your right. The road then drops into the Nant Francon valley. The entrance to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is about 2 miles down the valley on the right, immediately after a cream-painted farmhouse.

By rail

There are frequent rail services to Bangor from London and other major cities in the UK. For train information, call the National Rail Enquiry Service on 00 44 (0)845 748 4950, or visit their website. There are taxis available from Bangor railway station to Snowdonia Mountain Lodge. If you would like to share a taxi with other course participants, please indicate on the form provided so we can give your details to them.

By air

The nearest airports are Manchester and Liverpool. The cheapest flights from Benelux are usually via Easyjet to Liverpool (www.easyjet.com). You can then travel either by train or taxi. There are regular rail services to Bangor from Manchester Airport. From Liverpool Airport, take bus 500 to Lime Street railway station. From there you catch a train to Chester where you change to a train for Bangor. The 12 o’clock flight from Amsterdam gives you plenty of time to travel to reach the course centre by 5pm. For your information, if you are interested in offsetting your CO2 emissions, do visit www.climatecare.org

By ferry

If you are coming from Benelux and are interested in a more environmental travel option, the nearest port is Hull (for P&O sailings from Rotterdam).  Passengers coming to Dru courses get a special rate if coming as a group of 10 or more. You can either bring your car or come as a foot passenger on the over-night ferry – cabins are available.
