Karma Yoga Retreat May 2017

15 May, 2017

Karma Yoga is often understood and translated as the yoga of selfless service, or as the means of achieving freedom through action.

The Bhagavad Gita defines Karma Yoga in two steps:

  • Making each action your best offering to the universe
  • Welcoming all results of an action as a gift from the Highest, thus neutralising any likes/dislikes from your mind.

Possible Karma Yoga activities will be:-

  • Light maintenance/building
  • Deep cleaning
  • Cooking
  • Gardening
  • Website / IT support

And there's more ....

  • Yoga & relaxation
  • Meditation
  • Walk and yoga in nature

This course has made me feel calmer, more in my body and more at peace with myself. I’ve discovered more about how my body works in these two weeks than in my four years of dance training!

Through the Youth Course I realised that there is a different life than what we live, and that’s the life that I want to live. I’ll definitely be back next year.
