Master Your Meditation Practice

Join our expert team for a transformative experience, profoundly deepening your experience of meditation. All from the comfort of your own home.

Levels 1 & 2 develop your own deep meditation practice; Level 3 is optional for those who wish to learn how to guide others into stillness and bliss!  

Do the course at your own pace—complete all three levels or why not just try Level 1!

Live online teaching days (some individual days, some weekends) approx. every 5-6 weeks, with small tutorial groups, community and one to one support from experienced meditation tutors.

Meditation Teaching Diploma—Level 3
Dates: TBA  (Oct - Dec 2024)

The tutors on the Meditation Mastery course are passionate about sharing their experiences with you! The teaching team include: Noelene Francis, Deb Ryan, Ruth Gent, Julie Beynon, Astoria Barr and more. 
 

Who is this course for?

This mastery course is designed for anyone who wants to deepen their meditation practice—there are no prerequisites!  For Level 1 and Level 2 there are no assignments. Your regular practice is your home study. 

Level 3 is optional, and is especially for anyone who wants to share the benefits of meditation with others—a great addition for yoga teachers, health professionals and coaches!  There is one lesson planning assignment. 
 

CPD points

You will gain 30 CPD points (the full amount you need for 2 years!) for each level of the course.

Cancellation policy

Course contents

The course has been designed as a powerful transformational journey that provides you with the tools to examine and transform ways of being that you find unhelpful so that you can engage with your life in a positive and successful way.

It takes you deeply into the science of meditation, showing how to bring your awareness from the physical body, through to the deepest layers of your being. It’s a systematic approach to working with the five koshas, which are the different levels through which we express ourselves in the world.

  • Looking at the physical level, you’ll experience the body as a gateway to the quiet mind.
  • Working with the energetic layer, you’ll establish and deepen your awareness of energy flow within the body. You’ll also learn how to access the individual and universal life-force that enables you to maintain, generate and store internal energy.
  • You’ll explore how to engage creatively with emotional energy.
  • Moving on, you’ll examine the different levels of the mind and the nature of thought. As you reconnect with your original dynamic energy and passion for life you’ll discover that you have access to a constant flow of creative ideas and an understanding of your place in the world.

What is Dru Meditation?

Dru Meditation an ancient yogic set of practices, based on the Vedic model of the koshas, for transformation of the mind and emotions. It is a journey that will help you discover a joyful mindful awareness, or a still point within, enabling you to become the strongest, most joyful and empowered version of yourself.  

What makes Dru meditation special?
So you’ve tried a few types of meditation, and enjoyed the stress-relieving benefits. But have you tried Dru Meditation yet? And do you know how Dru Meditation is different from other styles of meditation?

We like to define meditation as the perfect balance between alertness and relaxation. It doesn’t matter if you practise in a chair or sitting cross legged on the floor, it’s all about quietening the mind and stilling the body.

We've been teaching mindful awareness since the early 1980s where we taught Vipassana retreats to help people start their journey into meditation. Over many years and through training thousands of teachers in yoga and meditation, we've now refined our style into three main steps.

Step 1 - Mindfulness
Dru Meditation, in common with many other types of meditation, starts with a gentle awareness of the body and breath. This mindful awareness reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, chronic pain and insomnia. Conscious engagement of this stage of Dru Meditation will help you to become fully adept at mindfulness in your everyday life.

Step 2 - Mindfulness for understanding consciousness
Dru Meditation takes us from just observing our mind to understanding the vast landscape of our consciousness, described in the yogic tradition through models such as chakras and koshas. This more refined level of practice, helps you understand how the body, energy, emotions and thought are linked.

Step 3 - Design and mastery
Transform your consciousness by learning to become the master of your emotions and mind. You’ll learn advanced breathing techniques, mantras and kriyas which will empower your strengths and help you to deeply know yourself.
