Dru Yoga teacher training in Snowdonia, Nov 2017

Yoga Teacher Training courses near Bangor. Train as a yoga teacher in the beautiful surroundings of Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.

In North Wales, the Dru Yoga teacher training course consists of 8x residential 5-day modules over two and a half years. Many people enjoy having a training module every few months in beautiful Snowdonia. This format also suits those who travel a long way. Snowdonia Mountain Lodge is easy to access by road, train (direct trains from London take just over 3 hours) or plane (nearest airports are Liverpool or Manchester).

Whether your aspirations include becoming a teacher or deepening your personal yoga practice, this course will give you a thorough insight into: the essential foundations of Dru Yoga, body preps, postures, sequences & alignment, anatomy and physiology, the subtle energy flow within yoga asanas, unique Energy Block Release sequences (EBRs), pranayama—the science of breath, chakras or energy centres, therapeutic Dru Yoga, the art of relaxation, Dru Meditation, mantras, mudras and yogic philosophy.

Earn as you learn

We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to train as a Dru Yoga teacher. For example, we encourage you to gather informal teaching experience from halfway through the course, after an interim assessment. And from then on, you can easily pay for your course. If you gathered a group of 6 friends together every week, and asked them to pay you £5 each as a student teacher, you would make enough to cover 80-90% of your average monthly payments.

Since 1985 we have trained thousands of Dru Yoga teachers world wide, with many hundreds currently in training. Half our students start to teach before graduation, helping to recoup their costs.

Foundation course

Not sure if you are ready for the teacher training course? The Foundation course could be the answer....

Learn the principles of Dru Yoga: pranayama techniques, key classical postures done in the Dru style, flowing sequences, meditation, anatomy and physiology, chakras, koshas and philosophy.

Gain an excellent grounding in the essential foundations of Dru Yoga. Take your personal practice to a new level and deepen your understanding of its benefits.

This course will enable you to practise with confidence and has the added benefit that you can continue directly onto the Dru Yoga teacher training course if you wish, with the first quarter credited to you.
