Dru Kids and Teens October 2017 in Wolverhampton. Come and be trained to teach children and teenagers in Dru Yoga. You must have at least passed your Interim assessment, although you won't receive your certificate until you pass your Final Assessment in Dru Yoga.

Dru Kids and Teens

Dru Kids & Teens (DKT) teacher training is a 3-day intensive designed to ignite a passion to work with children/teenagers and make a real difference in the world. Add another string to your bow by training as a DKT yoga teacher!

Who is this course for?

This course is for qualified Dru Yoga teachers and student Dru Yoga teachers who can practice once gaining their Dru Yoga qualification. On this intensive, you'll gain all the skills necessary to teach in a range of different environments, covering the following topics:

  • How to make yoga fun, engaging, meaningful and safe
  • Essential concepts in child psychology and development
  • Different approaches and content for the various age groups
  • How to manage and structure classes for different groups
  • Adapting EBRs and sequences for children of all ages
  • Yoga stories, activations, games, massages, relaxations, pranayama, meditations
  • Yogic philosophy for teens
  • Ways to introduce yoga to child care centres, schools, colleges, yoga centres and into the community
  • Marketing strategies and business matters

 

Course prerequisites

To be eligible for the Dru Kids & Teens teacher training you need to be either a DYTT graduate or have passed your DYTT interim assessment.

Be prepared for lots of laughter, inspiration, yoga play, creative expression and fun!

You’ll receive a newly revised colour manual with lesson plans, games, developmental and health information, legal and safety advice.

You'll have a great time!

​Add another string to your bow by training to teach Dru Yoga to children and young people aged 4-18. On this 3 day intensive, you’ll gain all the skills necessary to meet the demand for Dru Yoga classes in schools, after school clubs or birthday parties. This course is designed for Dru Yoga graduates and undergraduates who have passed their interim assessment, but please contact Jane if you’re interested and aren’t up to that level of experience yet.

Dru post grad days take you into a new world of discovery.  On this Dru Kids and Teens 3 day intensive, you will learn:

  • How to adapt Dru Yoga postures and sequences for children of all ages
  • How to make yoga fun and safe
  • Essential concepts in child psychology and development
  • How to teach Dru Yoga to both primary and secondary school children
  • Why each age group needs a totally different approach to yoga and welleing
  • How to manage and structure young people’s classes
  • Easy ways to introduce Dru Kids to schools, colleges and yoga centres
  • Marketing strategies to make use of the huge demand for children’s yoga
  • Games, fun activities and attention-grabbers

And as on all Post Grad workshops

  • Add new depth to the yoga and meditation techniques you already know.

Come and join us in Wolverhampton at The Workspace. An old primary school, The Workspace is situated opposite a park and next to a beautiful church. It is used by many local businesses for meetings and events and is within easy walking distance of the city centre, tram stops and bus networks, with on-site parking if you are driving to the venue.
