Embracing Ahimsa (non-harm) in your yoga practice
A half day workshop to take your yoga practice to a kind, caring level where it benefits the whole world.
led by - Senior Dru Teacher Trainer Deb Ryan
How would you like to enjoy some quality “me time” establishing a connection to your yoga practice with kindness and care?
Join us for this half-day workshop, where we will explore one of the yamas and niyamas, Ahimsa, or non-violence, and apply it to your personal yoga practice.
The pace of life in this age can often dictate a way of living that is not always in harmony with what we would like it to be. The principle of Ahimsa is far more than abstaining from harm through our actions.
It reaches into our thoughts, feelings and attitudes towards ourselves and others, impacting our work, our relationships, our health and our ability to contribute to the world.
This workshop will include nurturing Energy block release sequences, balancing pranayama (breathing) techniques, deep relaxations and much more.
Ahimsa was the principle Gandhi used in his campaign to free India – if Ahimsa can be applied to freeing a nation, imagine what it can do for you, especially through the practice of your yoga!
