Exciting new development for those who already have the Dru Postgraduate Back Care Certificate, we now have another very relevant add on. We have created an additional weekend of training, offering yoga to people with stress related health conditions. This gives you an opportunity to upgrade to the Dru Therapeutic Yoga Certificate in Back Care and Wellbeing.

This short course will cover common stress management and wellbeing issues including, anxiety, depression and panic attacks. We will share suitable yoga solutions for working with these.

You will learn

  • How to assess who might benefit from therapeutic yoga
  • Current medical approaches to wellbeing
  • Yoga philosophy such as the Patanjali Sutras and their relevance in this context
  • How to adapt yoga techniques simply and safely
  • How to create a safe environment
  • More about the importance of the relaxation response
  • How to guide people into relaxation gently and effectively in a variety of different ways
  • How to support students to breathe more easily and effectively
  • How to support students who are dealing with challenges

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start so we can get going on time.
  • Tea and coffee is provided, and if you need a packed lunch or any food please bring it along with you. 
  • Please wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat, bottle of water, notepad and pen.
