Chandra Goswami
Chandra directs Dru courses and workshops in Scotland, presents health and wellbeing seminars to professionals from different backgrounds and has taught Dru techniques worldwide, including Australasia, North America, India and Europe.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, where she specialised in the study of alternative lifestyles, leading to her later discovery of Dru Yoga as a powerful way to positive health & wellbeing.
Chandra then completed a post-graduate certificate of education from Oxford and taught in London for several years. During this time she achieved her Diploma in Dru Yoga, which she has now taught for 22 years, and serves on the board of the Dru Curriculum Committee, which determines the syllabus for Dru Yoga teacher training.
Her expertise is team training and development, group coaching and mentoring on healthy lifestyle choices, including yoga and meditation techniques. She also has a passion for Sanskrit and the deeper meaning behind yogic texts. Her love is the Dru Yoga Training Course for which she trains students to become effective Dru Yoga teachers, and supports trainers to develop their skills as facilitators on the course.
In her leisure time, you’ll find her walking, enjoying healthy food, watching a good movie and being with like-minded friends and colleagues.
Lily McFarlane
Lily has been teaching Dru yoga for over 30 years. She is a main trainer on the Dru Yoga Training course, the Dru Meditation training course and the Advanced Practitioners Diploma course in Scotland.
She has been running workshops and classes for many years, and has helped train numerous teachers to do the same. Her yoga is her passion. Her joyful and caring nature demonstrates her desire to constantly develop and improve the lives of the people around her, as well as the wellbeing of her students.
Lily is a mother of two, and has always involved her children in previous charity work of feeding the homeless, as well as in yoga classes for those with disabilities.
Having worked in a managerial position for her family’s and other companies, Lily now enjoys a yogic lifestyle, with the understanding of how simplicity can bring more rewards and a more fulfilling life.
