Relax and recharge in in the heart of beautiful Snowdonia
Enjoy warm friendship and experience some of the most professionally taught yoga in the country.
With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition and its emphasis on soft, flowing movements, Dru Yoga can help increase energy levels, ease back pain, and wash away stress.
Designed to be practised by people of all abilities, fitness levels and age groups, it is a style of yoga that can be quickly dipped into or learnt in more depth over a lifetime. It is now taught in many different countries, and as such has helped us become one of the largest yoga organisations in the world. As hundreds of our students are finding every day, at its most simple, Dru Yoga helps relieve the pressures of modern living.
Managing Director, Maritime Training & Assessment Services
Having just been to a brilliant Dru retreat in North Wales, I am 'chilled', yet fully charged! The style and quality of presentation is excellent, the content fascinating, the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff without question and the organisation has a 'track record' approaching thirty years. I have been to three Dru conference/retreat events now and can highly recommend them.
If you’re feeling agitated, Dru Meditation will bring you calmness. If you’re feeling exhausted, it will give you energy. If you’re feeling anxious, it will bring you peace. And most importantly, Dru Meditation will help you find that still place, with its sense of fullness, achievement and its deep healing properties, that only yoga and meditation can bring.
Dru Meditation is about finding a still inner point from which you can look at the world in a different way and discover a fresh, new perspective on your life. You'll discover powerful breathing techniques (pranayama), kriyas and concentration techniques.
We like to define meditation as the perfect balance between alertness and relaxation. It doesn’t matter if you practise in a chair or sitting cross legged on the floor, it’s about being comfortable, quietening the mind and stilling the body.
How can I benefit from meditation?
Dru Meditation, in common with many other types of meditation, starts with mindful awareness of body and breath. Mindfulness reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, chronic pain and insomnia. You can experience these health benefits at Dru Meditation retreats or workshops.
The next stage of Dru Meditation develops your skills from simply observing your mind to understanding how your body, energy, emotions and thought are linked - and how you might design them into new and more fulfilling patterns. There is a vast landscape within our consciousness, described in the yogic tradition through models such as chakras and koshas, and you can learn to become a master of this at Dru Meditation Foundation courses.
And if you want to really harness meditation's many benefits - and learn to meditate with ease - our Meditation Training courses teach you the third stage of Dru Meditation. Now you will discover how to effortlessly transform your consciousness, learning to become the master of your emotions and mind, rather than a victim. You’ll learn advanced breathing techniques, mantras and kriyas which will empower your strengths and help you to deeply know yourself. At Dru we continue this process with the our advanced meditation courses.
Discover the magic of yoga and/or meditation amidst Snowdonia's breath-taking scenery. Gentle, guided walks encompassing ancient woodlands, majestic mountains and our breathtaking celtic coastline - what more enticement could anyone want? You'll have the chance to explore the many benefits of Dru Yoga and/or Meditation to unwind and refresh body, heart and mind. And you'll almost certainly meet like minded people who could become long term friends.
Ayurveda shows you how to create balance in your life
Discover your dosha and create your health plan
Ayurveda is an incredible science that teaches us how to live a balanced life.
In Ayurveda there are three main constitution types or doshas. Finding your unique doshic type gives you a way of developing a logical health plan to keep you happy, healthy and vibrant.
Dru Dance is a more energetic, stress-busting form of Dru Yoga that blends the benefits of yoga and dance. Moving with music from funk to soothing rhythms, it’s invigorating, exhilarating and guaranteed to wipe away cobwebs!
The Dru Sound courses and retreat experience is the ideal way to explore the power of sound - and it's in beautiful Snowdonia! If you've ever felt as though you can't sing, this course will help you to find your natural voice and teach you how to project yourself vocally whether speaking or singing. You will learn how to stabilise your voice, develop voice control, evenness of sound and how to project your voice with confidence, power and impact. You will gain confidence in communication skills, and both teaching, public speaking and singing.

The Bhagavad Gita - the timeless manual for successful living and spiritual realisation - contains a detailed set of instructions on overcoming adversity and reaching your fullest potential. As the sourcebook of yoga and meditation, it contains the essential wisdom you need to live a fulfilling life.
Taking us beyond the cultural and topical content of ancient India, the Bhagavad Gita delivers a universal message relevant for each of us in our lives. It shows us that the way we deal with our mind and emotions reflects in our thoughts, attitudes and outward conduct and teaches practical methods for dealing with the anger, grief and frustrations that can torment our minds and have affected the minds of human beings since pre-history.
