Dru Professional Network (DPN) members will be able to accrue 15 hours of CPD (continuing professional development) for attendance on this foundation course. If you are not a member of the DPN you should check with your own professional organisation for qualifying points/hours to add to your CPD record.

- the five elements;
- the three doshas (find out which dosha you are);
- the three gunas;
- the twenty gunas;
- Vata, Pitta and Kapha in-depth;
- food plans for Vata, Pitta and Kapha (and how to adjust a menu according to needs of different doshas);
- information on how to correct imbalances through diet;
- information on faulty food combining;
- information on agni and ama;
- different types of agni in the body - the forty fires;
- ama pachana (a simple detox, the ayurvedic way);
- panchakarma;
- the dhatus and the process of digestion;
- the healing power of herbs and spices (your kitchen is your medicine chest);
- how to correct imbalances through lifestyle;
- dinacharya (a daily routine to keep you vibrant);
- seasonal changes;
- prana, tejas and ojas;
- six stages of disease.

Shona Sutherland
