We need to pay the hotel and give booking numbers to them by the end of December. Accommodation payments made in January will need to pay a supplement of €20 per person.

In our experience, the sea view rooms are really worth the extra. The pool view rooms look over the swimming pool area and may have a slight sea view as they are on a lower floor. The land view rooms will have views of the car park or the surrounding countryside. However, if you need to save some money, you could always book a land view room and sit by the pool where there is also a view of the sea!

The hotel food is plentiful and fresh - created by a very enthusiastic chef. However, it is not ayurvedic and they normally cater for omnivores so there will be meat and fish dishes. There are a variety of options for vegetarians - with many egg and cheese dishes. There are fewer options for vegans although we have arranged at least one hot vegan dish per meal (tofu or seitan or beans). If you’re vegan you may want to bring extra protein items with you (eg almond butter or tinned tofu). There are gluten-free alternatives to bread but these are quite limited. We will ask you about allergies and special dietary needs a little closer to the retreat.

We understand that if you have a very strict diet (eg ayurvedic food) - the hotel meals may not work for you. You have the option of half board or B&B to give you more options to find your own supper - but you would need a car to find a restaurant nearby. If you decide to attend the retreat but book your own accommodation, either at another hotel or via a travel agent, the hotel will charge a non-residential supplement of €35 per day (not including any meals) which you can pay using the accommodation booking form.

If you’re a confident walker, you should be fine walking to the beach or using the local Taxi/Uber which are quite reasonable. The hotel has one shuttle bus a day going to Albufeira and the local beach, but these aren’t always at times that work very well with our programme. If you have mobility issues or wish to explore the area then you may want to hire a car.

This retreat will take you on a deeply transformational journey with Dru yoga, meditation and sound. It is designed for people who have a good yoga practice - either for yoga and meditation teachers or for those who have a regular practice, perhaps from attending local classes.

"I had such a great time in the Algarve, learning more yoga philosophy in depth. I am leaving feeling healthier and fitter in both body and mind."
-Lyndsey Magill

'This retreat exceeded all of my expectations, it has been out of this world. I feel I have become new from the inside out. Everything contributed-from the sea so near to the hotel, the fabulous teachings, and the sense of care from the tutors and fellow students. I have so many treasures to take home.'

- Hilary Airey, Yoga teacher, West Yorkshire

"After arriving exhausted, we’re leaving with the sun in our hearts and so many beautiful memories. We’re completely transformed and energised with the love & warmth. We're feeling nurtured and ready to take this energy back to our work, family & friends."

-Allison Grant, Alison Massey & Sonia Hurel

We are planning a transforming yet relaxing time, with optional early morning yoga sessions, main sessions in the late morning, and a late afternoon restorative session with relaxation and meditation. The timetable will have free time for your own beach walks, personal practice, and mentoring sessions.
