I love Dru Yoga and I love teaching to all ages. My adult classes give me space to move deeper into yoga philosophy and techniques. I enjoy a flowing class with a fun activation and a chance to mindfully work with your body. I like to give you the chance to challenge yourself- whether that is through a strong physical practice or through being truly mindful and working with your body. I know there is a yoga practice for everybody and for every BODY. I also mainly teach yoga and mindfulness in primary and secondary schools in Young. This connection to young people keeps me young and reminds me to bring fun into my teaching of adults as well!
I teach a 1 1/2 hour Vinyasa Flow Dru Yoga Class which combines a fun activation, EBR sequence, a vinyasa-style flow Dru sequence followed by deep relaxation, pranayama and (sometimes) meditation.
I also teach private sessions for adults, kids and teens. Private sessions may be for yoga (I get referrals from local physiotherapists but you can also self-refer for a home program or an intro to yoga) and/or 8 week mindfulness programs for better sleep, reduced stress/anxiety/depression, better focus and attention, improved moods and emotional balance. Studies show that mindfulness participants experienced a 35% reduction in the number of medical symptoms and a 40% reduction in psychological symptoms.
