I very much work on the basis that: You don’t have to be fit, flexible, supple or in the right frame of mind to try it out! This can all be experienced by coming along to classes. I provide a fun approach to yoga, whilst learning and developing postural alignment and energetics in depth. We have a laugh, don’t take ourselves too seriously and this is definitely not Indian gymnastics! This is a great yoga even for those with limited mobility, with modified postures and even sitting on a chair! More experienced yogis can gain a deeper understanding of flowing postures, sequences, postural alignment and breath work!
I have practiced many styles of yoga for over 25 years, finding a true passion for Dru Yoga 18 years ago. In addition to being a Dru Yoga Teacher I have also recently qualified as a Vinyasa Yoga Teacher.
I have varied, colourful and unique career within nutrition, health, culture, event management, education and mental health research. Whilst teaching groups and offering one-to-one, yoga and personal development sessions in Tyne and Wear and Northumberland, I also provide mental health related training. With a PG Dip in Counselling and Psychotherapy I work for Ageing Better-Middlesbrough and Stockton Mind.
Mixed ability classes in various organisations and venues around Newcastle and Northumberland. One-to-one sessions also available.
