This course really helps you look clearly at yourself, in a very gentle and supportive way. It teaches you to accept and love yourself as you are.
With love, patience, knowledge and a lot of fun you become empowered to be a wonderful teacher. For me the training is perfect in many regards. Wonderful balance between practical and theoretical learning. I bet anyone could do that!
I am just working on the spine assignment. Apart from really enjoying all the research and information, I had to smile, because whilst writing about the spine and common back problems I have discomfort in my back (chronic) and sitting in one position, not as relaxed as I would like, is aggravating it. I have been taking frequent breaks, doing the Dru stretches, tri spinal release, marjariasana, bringing my knees up and rocking my spine which I love, standing forward bend and squats and when I finish studying each day I do a long relaxation. I have been drinking lots of water as well. I love the fact I have the tools from the Dru to help myself and have the chance to put it all into practice. It's all made such a difference to my back, neck and rest of my body. From a happy yoga student!
The teaching/learning has been fantastic, however there have been many other benefits on a more personal level that I hadn’t expected. Being immersed in yoga, with wonderful people in a beautiful setting has allowed me to ground myself, reflect and focus. Thank you and I can’t wait for module 2.
The training is about so much more than the asanas, it is very holistic. The pace is at the right level, every asana is refreshed so you get the opporunity to learn how to do it correctly.
After completing the first module, I have been given the most amazing insight of how unique Dru Yoga is. I feel excited, inspired and cannot wait to learn more, the way the course is put together and paced is very well thought out, the course materials and the staff are amazing and supportive.
