Dru Yoga and Meditation Masterclass led by senior Dru international tutor Noelene Francis

In March 2018 Noelene presented in the Papers & symposium stream at the Yoga Australia 2018 conference in Melbourne on 'How yoga and meditation can improve your longevity - harnessing new research.' 

One of the most exciting pieces of research over recent years shows that part of our chromosomes, the very end tips, called the telomeres profoundly influence our physical and mental health. If our telomeres are long, we will live longer, and have less illness. Shorter telomeres are associated with tissue degeneration leading to our cells aging prematurely.

Mindful yoga movement and breathwork, meditation and chanting are among the activities that have been proven to create an environment where telomeres can grow longer again!  In short, yoga and meditation positively influence our cellular biology and actually have the power to boost our longevity.

In this masterclass you’ll learn how your regular Dru yoga practice can positively influence the production of telomerase, the enzyme responsible for repair and renewal of our telomeres.

Venue:  Jackie Eldridge's studio, Ferny Hills, Brisbane

Time: 9:30am to 3:30pm  — Please arrive at 9:15  Morning tea provided. Please BYO vege lunch to share.

4 CPD points allocated and open to all Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation course graduates and those who have completed Module 5 and above. Please arrive at 9.15 for a 9.30 start.
