Balancing the Elements
In this workshop we'll be exploring in depth the 5 elements and how they relate to us and our, unique constitution. We will then learn tools an techniques in the form of nutrition and yoga to help us to practically apply that knowledge to our own health and wellbeing.
According to the ancient healing science of Ayurveda, every living and non-living thing in the Universe is made up of a combination of 5 basic elements – Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. They manifest in the human body as 3 basic principles or subtle energies known as doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
- Space + air combine to form Vata
- Fire + water combine to form Pitta
- Water + earth combine to form Kapha
Over our day together we will gain a deeper understanding of the 5 elements and the 3 doshas and their positive and negative aspects so that you can then design your life and become even more healthy, happy and fulfilled.
