Masterclass - Santosh Dru Dance

20 May, 2020
(Registration open till December 2025)

Santosh translates to contentment - which is something that we all strive for, but can sometimes feel just a little out of reach...

So, imagine feeling totally whole, connected and aligned - without the need for something else - or someone else - to fill the gap inside. That is the true meaning of ‘Santosh’ or inner contentment. And that’s what this Dru Dance is all about… finding your place of stillness and feeling totally strong and empowered within!

It’s a strong dance with a fantastic warrior pose flow combined with graceful transition moves, exploring the depth and deep symbology of mudras and dance to bring about that feeling of Santosh.

Anouschka and Christiane will taking you through this dance which is fun, challenging and graceful. It's yoga pose focused, so we'll flow from one pose to another, enjoying the many benefits of each posture, as well as the combined sequence.

As it’s such a short time that we’ll be together on Wednesday, we’ll cover phrase 1 and 2 (most of the dance) with the possibility that we can offer another workshop in the next few weeks to learn the last phrase and put it all together.

I have found a new inner strength that I thought I had lost forever, a renewed sense of confidence in myself, and a joy in life, in nature, in the ‘little’ things. I know when things get tough I will be fine. I can find a quiet and safe haven inside myself which is there always.
