Postgrad Workshop: Journey to the Self

3 November, 2022

An exploration of the Yamas & Niyamas with Louise Rowan.

Gain insight into the spiritual principles that are essential on our path of awakening. Due to popular demand, Louise will start this 'Journey to Self' series with an exploration of the Yamas and Niyamas, which when understood more deeply provide a really solid foundation for our spiritual growth.

These inspirational sessions will include some yoga movement and the opportunity to connect with each other as we journey together toward our greater selves.

If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue 1 CPD hour for attendance at this event. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

How to access the event:

You will be sent a link to access the Zoom Session (on the day of the event) where we will be hosting this live online event from our center in The Midlands.

The final session of this 3-part series will be held on 8th December; this will be detailed on a separate booking page. People are encouraged to attend all 3 if possible but if unable to, are welcome to join just 1 or 2 of the sessions.

When I came along to a Youth course at Dru I didn’t really know what to expect as I had no prior experience with any yoga. But it was a really enjoyable experience and I’m glad I made the decision to go.
The people on the course were all really nice, and I’m friends with everyone I’ve met through the retreats.
Also, the food is really incredible, you will love it.
I’ve always had really tense back and shoulder muscles, resulting in poor posture and poor shoulder flexibility. Even though at first difficult if you stick with it you will eventually see results, as I have.
If you’re considering coming to a Dru Youth retreat I would recommend it, and I found it to be really worhwhile

I am just working on the spine assignment. Apart from really enjoying all the research and information, I had to smile, because whilst writing about the spine and common back problems I have discomfort in my back (chronic) and sitting in one position, not as relaxed as I would like, is aggravating it. I have been taking frequent breaks, doing the Dru stretches, tri spinal release, marjariasana, bringing my knees up and rocking my spine which I love, standing forward bend and squats and when I finish studying each day I do a long relaxation. I have been drinking lots of water as well. I love the fact I have the tools from the Dru to help myself and have the chance to put it all into practice. It's all made such a difference to my back, neck and rest of my body. From a happy yoga student!
