Therapeutic Yoga for a Healthy Back
In this 75-minute Masterclass experienced Yoga Therapists Padma McIntyre and Ruth Boaler will give you a practical experience of Dru Yoga, facilitating your discovery of simple yet highly effective movement approaches for a strong and resilient back.
They will be exploring with you how to deeply care for your back through naturally increasing your body intelligence and awareness, and sharing exciting approaches to functional core engagement alongside beautiful restorative stretches.
The session includes:
- Insights into your own unique body signature and posture
- Myofascial release and specific strengthening movements
- Asana work modified for back care
- Relaxing breath work
- Back-specific visualisation
This session will be useful for anyone with some experience of Dru Yoga who wants to deepen understanding of a strong and centred body, and to work intelligently with their body to have a healthy and balanced back.
This is a great introduction to the wealth of knowledge and experience you'll gain on the forthcoming Back Care and Wellbeing Course, which is open to Dru Yoga graduates.
If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue two CPD hours for attendance at this masterclass. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

What I enjoyed the most was learning the beautiful EBR 8.

Thank you so much to you and Bob and Imogen and of course Keith {Dru Yoga & Ayurveda Cookery workshop}. I am looking forward to trying some of his recipes from his book.
I thought it was a great course. A lovely combination, especially as Keith related the doshas to different personality and behavioural traits, and that these were linked with the relevant balancing yoga sequence in the afternoon.

Dru Yoga is so gentle and flowing with no forced movement; my body always feels so much better after practising.
