Ayurveda CPD : Series 2 - Session 3

24 September, 2023
(Registration open till December 2025)

This course is only for graduates of the Dru Ayurveda Health Coach diploma

Join us for a fascinating look at menopause through the lens of Brahmana (expansion)  and Langhana (reduction) from the fields of Ayurveda and Yoga.

We will explore at a deeper level how the doshas interact with each other (pushing, pulling and blocking other doshas) and how that has a tremendous effect on us as women as we enter menopause.

Learn about estrogen and progesterone building foods, and how important it is to reduce stress and stop living by unrealistic expectations to prevent fuelling disease.

Janey and Shona will also talk about their own menopauses from a pitta vata / pitta kapha perspective.

Each session will include.

  • A talk by one of the Dru Ayurveda teachers about an important aspect of Ayurveda, with the opportunity to ask questions

  • A case presentation. A different health coach will bring a brief summary of an anonymised case each time. There will be small group discussion of significant aspects of diagnosis and treatment

  • A spiritual attunement rooted in Ayurveda

  • Rolling programme of topics to be decided according to the group's needs and interests

If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue 2 CPD hours for attendance at this event. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

Replays will be available for you to review your learning, and for when you can't attend the two-hour live sessions.

Keith was such an inspiration with his delicious dishes and I felt very nourished by our shared meal. I especially enjoyed the creamed carrots and will definitely be making it for my family. I was also reminded that it's not just about the cooking and that putting love and intent into it is what makes a real difference.
