The Subtle Energetics of Dru Yoga

4 March, 2023

In this 3-weekend course you will deep dive into Dru's unique energy sequences.

It's the ideal course for whether you are a Dru practitioner or a yoga teacher from any other tradition. Whether you are experienced or a beginner—you can develop a deeper understanding of the nature and structure of Dru’s unique approach to yoga.

Weekend one has passed but you have plenty of time to catch up with the recordings as weekend two is on 4 & 5 March 2023.

In this course we will:

  • discover the hidden sophistication of energy flow
  • focus on the subtle energy sequences that direct your prana through the five koshas (these sequences were previously known as EBRs 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the Dru tradition)
  • enhance your asana practice and asana teaching through pranic awareness
  • explore what it practically means to move energy and to move with energy, using yogic scriptures as a reference
  • explore the qualities and application of the five living forces of prana, the panch prana vayus

Sessions will be recorded and downloadable materials will be available on our Dru Learning Hub.

What does the course include?
•    24 hours of live online teaching
•    Access to course materials including replays on the Dru Learning Hub
•    Access to a course community through the Dru Learning Hub, so you can easily exchange experiences with your fellow students

The course has helped me to integrate my practice into daily life - it has helped me to feel more relaxed about my experiences. I am able to now take my yoga off the mat by developing awareness on physical, pranic, emotional/motivational and knowings. I now feel I'm piecing together a toolkit to use in daily life; be it simply being able to witness something or in being able to do something to shift it.
As a yoga teacher I have been able to guide individual students on a one to one basis to help them remove some quite deep rooted blocks!

It has deepened my practice and has also given me ideas about the way I practice; the notes of freedom. Ever since taking the course, I have really begun to understand some elements of myself that I knew I needed to work on – I suppose I have become more aware.
In many ways, the course encouraged me to develop and think about key words to use in class and to incorporate more than just the ‘physical experience of yoga’.

A big huge thumbs up here for the APD course. It totally blew my mind.

It was such a pleasure to be guided through postures that I thought I knew well, only to discover that they had even more power than I could ever have imagined possible, when you work through them on each Kosha level.

At times when I'm feeling stuck or uninspired / bored with in my practice, the tools I learnt on the APD course always, without fail, have the ability to out me back on track.

The course was so wonderfully presented, a brilliant mix of guided practice and space to explore for yourself.

I also came away from the experience a much more confident and skillful teacher, and have been able to facilitate my students in deepening there practice as a result.

I find myself eternally grateful to Andrew and the whole APD team for developing and refining this course, it's beyond doubt helped me to develop and refine my own practice.
