"Our dream is as simple as it is ambitious, one flame uniting people worldwide." -- World Peace Flame Foundation
'Walk with The World Peace Flame, 11am - 4pm
(in-person event at the Dru Centre, Snowdonia)
Sunday 31 July, 10.30am - 4pm
Join us for an extraordinary 'Walk with The World Peace Flame', a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old and new friends, and be inspired by the wisdom of those who helped to create the World Peace Flame in 1999.
'Walk with The World Peace Flame' offers two options:
One option is a beautiful 7-mile walk along the National Trust footpath beginning in Capel Curig at 11am and finishing at the World Peace Flame Monument at the Dru Centre in the Nant Ffrancon Valley at 4pm.
The other option is a shorter 2-mile walk which will join the 7-mile walk at Idwal Cottage Youth Hostel at the top of the Nant Ffrancon Valley at 2.30pm, and finish at the Dru Centre, where you'll be welcomed with refreshments and a magnificent celebration beginning at 5pm.
About The World Peace Flame
On 31 July 1999, seven living flames from five continents were flown to the UK and united to form one flame for hope and peace - The World Peace Flame.
For past 23 years, The World Peace Flame Foundation has made it possible for more that 100,000 children to learn peacemaking skills in schools, more than 50,000 rural villagers in India to receive free medical care, and for thousands of trees to be planted for hope and peace.

Dru invites you to work at a much deeper level, it is an inside out journey. When you arrive at that place where you realise the commitment required, jump in, embrace it, live it and breathe it.

I really enjoyed being amongst like-minded yogis. I enjoyed the moving posture work as it's not often I do postures I tend to do EBR[s or sequence work. I enjoyed the sequence this afternoon. I absolutely love all of these workshops and they keep me connected, both with new yogis and in my own body and mind. There was. very good mix of exercises, things to think bout and contributing verbally.
