Yoga of the Heart: Releasing Anxiety and Embracing Courage, The Southwest
Do you often feel anxious or worried? Are you experiencing sleepless nights thinking about your to-do list? Does the current state of affairs create thoughts of insecurity or resignation?
World events and daily demands bombard us with a constant stream of unsettling information that impacts our nervous system. Our sympathetic nervous system stays switched on throughout the day and we find it hard to relax and anchor into a point of stillness. This can lead to the desire to push against life, or to sit back and withdraw into inaction.
Dru yoga is the Yoga of the Heart, and has an abundance of techniques that will help you to appropriately choose an empowered way of stepping from anxiety into courage and self-compassion.
In this workshop join Andrew Wells from Dru Wales, and the Dru Southwest team in a supportive programme that brings ease, flow and energy. You’ll learn how to:
- Recognise your current responses when under pressure and choose the one that enables the optimum result for yourself and those around you
- Effectively manage the different states of your nervous system, from action to relaxation, with clarity and ease
- A new sequence to empower the heart and bring you into the centre of your courage and self-compassion in a bold and inspiring way
- Bring a deep sense of contentment into your day.
Dru’s methods have been tried and tested over decades, and supported countless practitioners to navigate their thoughts, emotions and actions. This day will provide you with life-long tools to lift you into a feeling of greater fulfilment and joy.
If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue 3 CPD hours for attendance at this event. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.

I enjoyed the waves of peace relaxation; lovely! Loved the kosha talk and flowing tree and pear tree. Loved the kosha talk and flowing tree and pear tree! The opportunity simply to 'be' in a class, rather than analysing and reflecting on teaching style, alignment points etc. The workshop was enjoyable, relaxed and designed to nurture us!
