Relax & Unwind Series: Class 3

The final programme in this three part series with Annie and Coby to help you relax and unwind.

Breath is the bridge between the mind and the body. This session emphasises the use of the breath to calm the mind and emotions.

Energy Block Release 1 is designed to unlock your body's tension and prepare you for the Earth Salutation (Prithvi Namaskara). This is a flowing sequence that uses the breath as a means to help calm the mind and emotions. It will help to ground you and encourage you to stand in your power.

Part 2 of the Earth Salutation will re-charge your whole body and help you feel a sense of wholeness and centredness.

The relaxation focuses on how you can let go and feel deeply supported and at ease with life.

 

Yoga class contents

Activation

Systematically loosen some of the key joints in your body: wrists, elbows, shoulders, ankles, knees and hips. Then move into some twists, dynamic arm swings, and wide stance breath of Arjuna to activate the thigh muscles and get blood pumping through your entire body. There’s also a dynamic adductor stretch to really loosen up through the pelvic region.

Energy Block Release 1

Be led through a peaceful rendition of EBR1 focussing on the breath, and feel the tension in your superficial muscles melt away.

Warrior 1

These two warrior postures will help release tension held in much deeper places in your body.

Warrior 2

Embody the strength of a warrior in the face of life's stresses!

Earth Salutation

A variation of the earth salutation which incorporates a movement to open and align your ajna (third eye) centre. The result is a deep sense of mental and emotional relaxation.

Relaxation

This comforting relaxation will make it easy to let go and allow your body’s natural healing abilities to restore you.
