Spirituality of Yoga, 24-28 May 2019

This remarkable new event sees the start of a whole new approach to the spirituality of Yoga. Dru's teacher training courses are renowned for exploring the depths of how yoga and meditation techniques really work, exposing the laws of consciousness that have been tried and tested by yoga science across millennia. Now we offer you the opportunity to use these laws to radically enhance your life - with the potential to take your life further than you'd ever believed could be possible.

We are a microcosm of the macrocosm.
What we think, do and say makes a difference to not just ourselves,
but to the world we are a part of.

The practice of Yoga extends far beyond the mat. In understanding the spirituality of yoga we will explore simple, powerful and ancient practices that we can apply to our fast moving every day lives that not only will enrich ourselves but also re connect us back to the natural rhythms of the universe.

As part of this retreat you will learn how to:

  • how to deepen your daily practice of yoga and meditation and learn how to establish a practice that heals and balances the elements in you and for the planet.
  • how to establish how to create a  5 element meditation space.
  • specific mantras and affirmations to bring health, prosperity and peace of mind.
  • walk in a way that heals the earth.
  • eat in a way that heals you and nourishes the planet.
  • take part in a sacred fire ceremony to bring harmony and peace to all nations.
  • use the ancient scripture 'The Bhagavad Gita' as a tool to guide and support you in your every day life.

Discover the secrets of the ancients as to how to live a life full of joy and fulfilment by simply learning to get back in touch with who you really are and your unique place in the universe. You have your own song, your own gift to share with the world. Learn how to listen and hear the whisper of the universe guiding you at every moment!

I’m new to Dru... Is that OK?

This is an advanced retreat for people with many years' experience of yoga and meditation, who want to take their spiritual practice to a new level. If you have no prior yoga or meditation experience, we recommend our introductory Dru retreats in Snowdonia, such as yoga and walking or nutrition.

What about therapies & mentoring?

From ayurvedic Abhyanga full body massage to foot reflexology—when you enjoy a therapy on one of our retreats, that’s when you really feel the true benefits of the whole Dru experience. You can also book a personal mentoring with one of our expert tutors on topics such as chakra analysis, vedic astrology and much more.

What’s the food like?

Our catering gets rave reviews from our course participants. It’s delicious vegetarian cuisine, tasty and healthy, and complements the courses perfectly. We also cater for vegan and other special diets, such as gluten-free etc. Let us know when you book.

What are the rooms like?

We received a certificate of excellence this year from Tripadvisor for our accommodation. Snowdonia Mountain Lodge has 21 bedrooms, with a selection of double, twin bedded and family rooms. Recently refurbished, all rooms are simple, on the ground floor and ensuite. Towels, linen, hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities are included in the rooms.

Where can I buy my yoga accessories?

We have an excellent yoga shop in the reception area, packed with healthy snacks, health products, gifts, books, yoga and meditation accessories. The reception area also provides the perfect environment to browse, relax, enjoy refreshments and socialise.

Teaching sessions are held in our spacious yoga hall, and in between classes you can browse through our extensive yoga shop.
