Morning Workshop

The Flow of Grace

The ancient yogis studied postures and their effect on the subtle energy system of the body. They discovered two paths of subtle energy flowing upward from the base of the spine through to the forehead centre. These channels are known as the Pingala and Ida nadis, (sun and moon channels). These nadis connect each chakra, and with correct awareness, can bring a powerful awakening to each one.

In our present-day lifestyle several factors can block those nadis, creating ‘vrittis’ or tendencies that lead to unhelpful patterns, chronic health conditions and eventual ‘shut down’ from our innate passion and joy.

In this workshop we will:

  • discover more about the energy channels and how supporting the flow of the nadis you can subtly awaken the energy centres
  • experience a Dru Yoga sequence in an original and therapeutic way to balance the chakras
  • learn simple keys that transform unhelpful emotion and thought patterns that suppress our inner power.

Come and gain an understanding of how to enhance the positive qualities of each chakra and more easily connect with that deep stillness and higher sense of who you are, which those yogis of old called the ‘Flow of Grace’.

Afternoon Workshop

Pranayama: The Pathway to Natural Meditation

Prana is often associated with our breath. However, it is more than this. It is the control of subtle energy, or prana shakti, in our system. Through pranayama, or regulating breathing practices, we can recharge our body, mind and spirit.

In this workshop we shall explore the relevant yoga that opens gateways of energy to us, specific pranayama practices and potent meditations that easily access the stillness of the mind. Through these we reduce stress, increase health and wellbeing, and establish a calm clear mind. Success in any area of our lives hinges on these most important ingredients, and you will find yourself feeling energised, empowered, and alive.

In this workshop you will experience:

  • relevant pranayama techniques including the practice of:
    • kapalbhati - a potent energising breath
    • anuloma/viloma - a breath that brings balance & harmony
  • deep relaxation
  • meditations to create a calm clear mind.
