And welcome back to our repeat cleansers who've been enjoying the benefits of cleansing with us twice a year.

Seasonal change, heralded by the Autumn equinox (on March 20th in 2024), alerts our mind and bodies to shift gears to keep functioning at our best. After the excesses of Christmas and our summer holidays, this is the time of year our liver, gall bladder and intestinal tract yearn for a good cleanse. We cleanse and reset to make sure we don't dry out too much, like the autumn leaves!

Ayurveda supports us to dance with nature's rhythms. On the seasonal cleanse you'll learn to:

  • skillfully prepare recipes that are designed to fully nourish your body while you cleanse
  • practise daily yoga and pranayama to fuel your digestive fire and stimulate the lymph
  • enjoy relaxations and time in nature to unwind your nervous system and quieten the mind

The cleanse program provides guided practices, resources and inspiration

All resources are on the Dru learning Hub (DLH)

Watch the introductory videos: 1. Key principles of Ayurveda. 2. The cleanse program—menus, recipes, lifestyle, herbs, yoga, pranayama, lifestyle and interactive daily forum.
Watch the cooking videos. Follow the shopping list and recipes to practice making the kitcheris and condiments. You can freeze meal sized portions to make the cleanse week flow!

Introductory live check-in, 6.00pm (AEDT)

The cleanse itself! Nightly live zoom checkins
alternating start time to accommodate WA and NZ

Going in gently and coming out gradually.
The difference between the 5-day and 7-day cleanse is that on the 7-day cleanse we mono eat kitcheri for three days rather than one in the middle of the cleanse
When we eat a mono diet—3 meals a day of just kitcheri—our body can focus the energy that normally goes towards digestion to cleansing and healing other systems.

Kitcheri, the nourishing, cleansing, easy-to-digest ayurvedic staple.
It is high in protein and is extremely comforting to your digestive tract, beneficial for intestinal repair, rejuvenation and spiritual growth.
We give you recipes for four different kitcheris, complete with cooking videos.

Always eat your largest serving of kitcheri at midday, when your digestion is strongest. For dinner, eat early and eat a smaller serving, adding more stock to make a lighter soup.

Health considerations

Before you start the cleanse it is important to complete the online questionnaires:

  • where are my doshas out of balance?
  • health questionnaire

Please note that by booking in for this short cleanse program you agree to take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing.

Preparing in the week before the cleanse

We have found those participants who prepare well gain the most benefits from the cleanse, as they can be relaxed and stress free during the cleanse.

Watch the pre recordings for the 2 introductory workshops:

  • Part 1 explains the Ayurvedic principles behind the cleanse and why and how it works best at the time of the equinoxes.
  • Part two runs through the whole program, explaining the science behind the cleansing yet nourishing diet the diet, the importance of the lifestyle routine and  yogic practices.
  • Join the live pre-cleanse check-in reviewing the preparation, on Sunday 10th March at

Check out all the resources on the DLH, print out as needed.

  • order your supplements—triphala, chyawanprash and castor oil from the Dru web shop (or source locally in Indian supermarkets)
  • watch the cooking videos
  • shop for all your menu ingredients, practice making kitcheri and freeze meal portions for during the cleanse
  • make the condiments: ginger chutney, coriander and coconut chutney, beetroot buzz so they are ready to go in your fridge.

You deserve some space...

It's important to give yourself clear, uninterrupted space for this special time!
Ideally give yourself a retreat experience for the cleanse week.
If you do need to work through the cleanse, we recommend taking a day's leave from work midway through the cleanse, on the mono-eating day.

For the nightly live check-ins, set the hour aside. The community support is awesome for helping you stay motivated and accountable!
It's always tempting to do several things at once when you're by a screen—but we highly recommend that in this case, you create 60 minutes of uninterrupted time for yourself.
We'll be covering some very special material that we hope will make a wonderful difference in your life.

You are worth it—and you deserve it!
