Manager of Snowdonia Mountain Lodge Hospitality, DPN, & Dru Yoga Wellbeing Research Project with Bangor University
Ned Hartfiel
Ned Hartfiel is a Research Fellow at Bangor University and a long-standing member of the Dru team, with nearly two decades of experience living at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge. He currently oversees a major research project evaluating the social value of a Dru Yoga Wellbeing Programme for social prescribing in the UK.
Ned has been instrumental in growing the Dru Professional Network (DPN), supporting its expansion from 275 to over 400 members since 2011. Since 2024, he has also led hospitality services at the Lodge, coordinating accommodation and event spaces for visitors from around the world.
His passion lies in the healing power of Dru Yoga—particularly its role in enhancing mental wellbeing, alleviating back pain, and helping individuals reconnect with their deeper life path. Among his favourite practices are the Sun Sequence, Four Directions Sequence, Golden Eagle, and the Healthy Back Programme—all tools that support physical vitality, clarity and spiritual connection.
Ned is a strong believer in consistency, and his superpower is simple but powerful: showing up every day. For him, Dru is a living path that aligns body, mind and spirit—and connects us to a lineage of wisdom that inspires and guides.
