Free DPN Connect: Do You Really Understand Pranayama?
Could you be getting pranayama wrong? Join André for a free 45-minute Q&A session exploring the principles and deeper practices that can transform how you understand and teach the breath.
As yoga and meditation teachers, we all work with the breath. But it’s surprisingly easy to develop habits around breathing without fully understanding the principles behind what we’re doing. And when it comes to teaching pranayama, good intentions aren’t enough. Precision matters.
Could some of the breathing practices we use actually be reinforcing unhelpful patterns?
Do you understand why one way of breathing can have a very different effect from another?
And how much more could you bring to your teaching if you understood the breath at a much deeper level?
Pranayama is much more than a collection of breathing exercises. Join André Hartwich for this free 45-minute DPN Connect and discover the depth behind the practice. Drawing on his many years of dedicated study and experience, André will explore some of the principles that underpin pranayama and give you a taste of the Dru Breath and Pranayama Coach Training.
The training goes far beyond learning techniques. It develops a precise understanding of the principles of breathing and explores topics such as the gunas and koshas before moving into increasingly subtle aspects of pranayama. For yoga and meditation teachers, this deeper understanding can transform the way we approach the breath in our own practice and in our teaching.
🌸
This session is for you if:
- You already use breathing practices but want to understand why they work
- You’ve never felt completely confident teaching pranayama and want to develop a stronger foundation
- You’d like to understand how breathing patterns can support – or potentially hinder – your yoga practice
- You’re curious about the relationship between the breath, the nervous system, the gunas and the koshas
- You want to discover how a deeper understanding of pranayama could enrich your yoga and meditation teaching.
You don’t need to be new to pranayama. In fact, this session is especially for those who already know that the breath matters – and want to understand it properly.
The session will include an attunement and short pranayama practice, an introduction to the upcoming Dru Breath and Pranayama Training course, and time to ask questions.
