Meditation Mastery Taster Workshop: Resetting the Nervous System
A practical taster exploring how Dru Meditation resets the nervous system so meditation feels supportive again, even when life is busy.
We all know that meditation is important — yet it can be surprisingly hard to keep a regular practice. When life is full, the nervous system often stays on high alert, and meditation can begin to feel like hard work rather than support.
This taster workshop explores how Dru Meditation works directly with the nervous system, using movement, breath, and meditation in a clear, practical sequence. Rather than trying to force the mind to be still, we’ll focus on resetting the nervous system so meditation feels possible again — even when life is busy.
This session offers a practical taste of the upcoming Dru Meditation Mastery Course – Essentials Level 1, which supports you to build a regular, nourishing meditation practice in daily life.
What we’ll practise together
During this workshop, you’ll be guided through:
- Key Dru movements, including Prana Kriyas, to ground the body, release held tension, and prepare properly for sitting
- How movement before meditation can reduce restlessness and help posture feel more comfortable and stable
- A grounding breathing practice using breath ratios, commonly taught in Dru, to support nervous system balance and steadiness
- A guided body relaxation that can be used during the day to reset the mind when you feel overloaded
- A Sanskrit mantra practice, taught in an accessible way, to help steady attention and support emotional balance
- A short 10-minute morning meditation, designed to help you start the day with a calmer, more focused nervous system
These practices are core elements of Meditation Mastery Level 1, where they are developed further and adapted to support long-term practice.
What you’ll take away
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have:
- A clearer understanding of why meditation can feel difficult when the nervous system is under pressure
- Practical ways to prepare the body before meditation, so sitting feels easier and more stable
- Tools for resetting the nervous system during the day, not only when you sit to meditate
- Insight into how breath ratios influence calm, focus, and steadiness
- More confidence using mantra as a practical support rather than an abstract idea
- A simple 10-minute morning meditation you can return to when practice feels hard to maintain
