Celebrating Movement

This joyful movement yoga class with Aja Krystall is a monthly online gathering that invites you to appreciate what your body can do. Inspired by a simple, heartfelt message from a dear colleague, each class offers a fresh invitation to move with curiosity, ease and warmth — without comparison or self-criticism. Suitable for all levels.

This joyful movement yoga class began with a message that stopped the Dru team in their tracks.

A much-loved member of the team had a hip operation that left her fighting for her life. When she came round, the first thing she wanted the world to know was this: “Move your body in a loving way every day, because you never know when it won’t work anymore.”

Those words from Monica are at the heart of every session in this monthly class. It’s an invitation to experience movement as a gift rather than a task — to meet your body with kindness rather than judgement.

All too often, movement becomes tangled up with comparison. We notice that our body doesn’t bend the way someone else’s does, or isn’t as strong, or tires more easily. This class gently sets that aside. You’re invited to move as if for the very first time — with curiosity, warmth and a quiet sense of celebration.

Each monthly joyful movement yoga class is led by Aja Krystall, who has been immersed in yoga, meditation and holistic living since she first began practising Dru Yoga at sixteen. Trained in three yoga styles alongside Dru Meditation, she is known for helping students understand not just how yoga works, but why it matters. Her teaching has taken her from retreat facilitation at Watamu Treehouse in Kenya to working with students at Snowdonia Mountain Lodge — always with an emphasis on reconnection, confidence and finding genuine enjoyment in movement.

This class may be a good fit if:

  • You’d like to experience movement as something to appreciate rather than perfect
  • You’re new to yoga and want a welcoming, non-competitive space
  • You practise regularly but feel drawn to something lighter and more playful
  • You want to move your body with more joy and less self-criticism

You’re welcome to come exactly as you are.
