I have had a daily yoga practice for over twenty years, incorporating meditation, mindfulness, kirtan and reiki. Over the years, I have done so many different styles: Iyengar - where I began,- ashtanga, hatha, yin, sivananda, vinyasa flow. Through my practice I have been honoured to work with many wonderful teachers, all of whom have taught me something precious. I also do coaching work with The Enneagram, a system for personal and spiritual growth. I work in secondary education as a teacher of the Arts and love dancing, singing and creating. My practice has got me through prolonged periods of stress, helped me heal from autoimmune disease. It has given me a new vision of how I want my life to be and I love to share its gifts.
Yoga is a beautiful way to connect more deeply with ourselves and find the still-point that is our true home. In my classes, I create a lovely, peaceful space and bring in the wisdom of nature to how we practice. We always work mindfully, cultivating a harmonious relationship between mind and body and tuning in to our own intuition. I take my students through activation series, into energy block release sequences to really come into flow and then through postures and into a deep relaxation. It's a space of acceptance and compassionate presence. Because of how we practise, it can really benefit stress, fatigue, anxiety, as well as helping students to find clarity on their path.
