Excellent masterclass at a lovely venue. I've wanted to learn EBR8 for a long time. It was well worth it and I've enjoyed catching up with friends and colleagues.

Well prepared. Well thought out. The sharing of tasks between Imogen and Anne went well. Lovely people.

I didn't know what to expect from this course but found that it fitted me perfectly. Although I love coming up to Wales, having the sessions in the comfort of my own home with the videos to watch again and again was a great substitute.  Just a shame I can't get anyone to cook all the wonderful vegetarian food for me!
I loved the outside session with Annie and Radha and I particularly liked Andrew's meditations, I managed to ground myself deeper than I ever have before.  The tutor groups were really good and I like being part of a sangha!  I think it would be great if you offered some courses like this in future, when everything has sorted itself out, it was amazing that you had people from all over the world joining in

The workshop had a lovely atmosphere. I liked that we are encouraged to work within our personal limits and not over-push ourselves. Kind and gentle vibes. I particularly liked Padma's pear tree as so new and different. The workshop was well organised. A lovely focus on relaxation and breaking down postures into little bite size pieces. All the teachers had their own stye that worked positively to create a positive whole experience.

What I'll take from today's yoga postgrad workshop:- Underpinning the true purpose of yoga - to develop a relationship with the Self that exists deeply within.  Loved the relaxations, especially 'Waves of Peace'. The pancha koshas provide us with a road map for better understanding of our psychological and spiritual development.

I am just working on the spine assignment. Apart from really enjoying all the research and information, I had to smile, because whilst writing about the spine and common back problems I have discomfort in my back (chronic) and sitting in one position, not as relaxed as I would like, is aggravating it. I have been taking frequent breaks, doing the Dru stretches, tri spinal release, marjariasana, bringing my knees up and rocking my spine which I love, standing forward bend and squats and when I finish studying each day I do a long relaxation. I have been drinking lots of water as well. I love the fact I have the tools from the Dru to help myself and have the chance to put it all into practice. It's all made such a difference to my back, neck and rest of my body. From a happy yoga student!

I would thoroughly recommend the APD to anyone that is considering doing it.
I have benefitted enormously from it.
I did the course during the covid pandemic lockdown. A time of anxiety and fear. The knowledge that I gained helped me to recognise and acknowledge my feelings and gave me tools to deal with them.
The yoga postures , sequences and breathing techniques that are already familiar can be used to change our emotional energy.
In the same way that we have learnt to scan our physical body for aches and pains and stiffness or injury and use yoga postures and stretches to ease ourselves , I have learnt to scan my emotional and energetic body and recognise negative thoughts and patterns and how to correct them. By doing this regularly I feel more self-confident and happy .
I remember a very powerful moment when we were doing the Eagle posture and imagining that we were looking down at ourselves and what we perceived. I thought ‘ I am cool ‘ ! That thought has stayed with me.

The Spirituality of Yoga helped me to focus what is important to me in my life right now. My heart knows the path I wish to follow. With the practices I felt my distractions melt away and I felt myself expanding consciously. Exactly what I was looking for.

There was lots of variation, some easy, some more challenging. Lots of explanation about how to move and the theory behind the moves. I love to know stuff :).

However long you have been practicing yoga, this was different and very thoughtful - although previous experience helped. The dance session had a beautiful flow - it almost breathed.

My experience of the Spirituality of Yoga course was that it was truly amazing!  Teachers of Dru and students alike, can really gain from the support and wisdom of this beautiful course.  It reminds us gently and realistically, of all of that we can aspire to and how to achieve it within our daily 'sadhana' setting, so that we can be 'true to ourselves', whilst offering more to others.   The extra support and guidance offered, before, during and after the course, if required, makes it even more remarkable.  I found it to be a wonderful course to do, particularly during these most challenging times.  I would recommend it to everyone.

Dru Yoga Teacher, Derbyshire

The decision to join the Spirituality of Yoga course came to me unexpectedly and after some hesitation. I'm so thankful that I did!
The practices have affected me, some very deeply, in a way that feels more certain and deep than anything else I've done; awakening new awareness but also drawing me back to long held understandings that had slipped from my life.  Most of all, at this time in my life, in the world, it has helped to experience deep stillness and steadiness, with a renewed compassion for my self as well as others.
On a practical level, the online course fits in easily with daily life, with a balance of learning, practice and space to absorb one thing before moving on.  The videos are all there to go over as many times as needed - and also to return to the energy of the live sessions.
The support throughout is amazing, steady, generous and infused with love, joy and a lot of laughter!  It's been wonderful to feel closer to our amazing tutors and the wider community on the course. I know this is another step in a lifelong process and I'm looking forward to the next stage of the journey....Thank you Dru!x

I’ve experiences the postures as never before. We looked at them in so much detail I could really see and feel the benefits. Working in pairs was useful with a member of staff on hand to observe.

When I came along to a Youth course at Dru I didn’t really know what to expect as I had no prior experience with any yoga. But it was a really enjoyable experience and I’m glad I made the decision to go.
The people on the course were all really nice, and I’m friends with everyone I’ve met through the retreats.
Also, the food is really incredible, you will love it.
I’ve always had really tense back and shoulder muscles, resulting in poor posture and poor shoulder flexibility. Even though at first difficult if you stick with it you will eventually see results, as I have.
If you’re considering coming to a Dru Youth retreat I would recommend it, and I found it to be really worhwhile

The course has developed my knowledge of the koshas and has given me a practical step by step method for incorporating this into my practice (which has changed phenomenally)!

I particularly enjoyed the bhima warrior posture and the vitality sequence. Also the story and explanation of stretches and muscles. Diaphragm exercise one I will definitely be doing.

When I signed up for the Spirituality of Yoga Online course, I had no idea how much my life would change in little under a month. And what's more, I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this change, this growth, is sustainable. There can be no going back, only forwards, as I work to anchor the knowledge and wisdom so lovingly provided in these teachings, feeling deeply supported and held by the community created during these weeks. I feel for the first time in my life I really know, on a very deep level, the power of a shared commitment to Spirituality.

Ayurveda Retreat

Booking myself on to the Dru Ayurvedic Weekend Retreat is one of the best spontaneous decisions I’ve made in a while. I have a reputation for leaving things until the last minute, in this case I booked my place just an hour before it began! I guess that’s one of the benefits of an online course - I didn’t have to physically get there, just make sure I was out of my PJs before the Zoom meeting went live!!!
After a few weeks of lockdown and spending perhaps a little too much time reading and watching the news, this online retreat gave me a much needed boost of positivity. It was wonderful to connect with all the other people who were attending, to see so many smiling faces, some new and some familiar.
The content of the course was superbly presented - a good balance of ‘live’ face to face information sharing, question and answer sessions, some ‘live’ yoga, meditation and chanting and then a series of pre recorded videos to watch. We were given plenty of short breaks throughout the day and a nice long lunch break, time to eat, read our notes, watch the videos and get outside for some fresh air.
Alongside the Zoom live video there was excellent support for anyone with technical problems, via the chat box, email or telephone. The chat was also a place to ask questions and share information.
The Dru Team did a great job of putting this weekend retreat together and I wouldn’t hesitate in joining them for another online course in the future. Obviously if I had the choice I’d prefer to be there in person, but this really is a great alternative until we can do that.
