Sound, mantra and kirtan retreat in Eryri – Snowdonia
Free your voice this Summer with kirtan, meditation and sound in the spectacular scenery of Eryri - Snowdonia.
This retreat will help you reconnect to your voice with meditation and chanting practices using transformative Dru yoga sessions, wild walking sessions, kirtan and relaxation sessions.
Your voice reflects your unique personality. The sound you make and the way you use your voice reflects your self-image, which is why it is so valuable to learn how to realise the full potential of your natural voice. On this 3 day retreat, you will learn to work with your beautiful voice through the practice of sacred sound and kirtan.
Kirtan is a living experience of call-and-answer singing of Sanskrit mantras. When we create a connection through our combined voices singing as one, we experience a sense of unity. The word 'kirtan' comes from Sanskrit and means to 'praise the divine'. Originally practised as a way for Yogis to communicate with the divine, the ancient art of kirtan is as old as the practice of yoga.
The programme will include flowing Dru Yoga sequences to free the throat chakra, deep relaxations to nurture your body and mind and time to learn the power of sacred mantras. You will experience the joy of shared kirtan sessions and learn the ancient wisdom of these sacred sounds. There will be time for walks in the spectacular Nant Ffrancon Valley, as well as optional massages and individual sessions with the tutors.
