Masterclass - Understanding Your Core
Nanna Coppens, International Dru Courses coordinator, will lead you this evening into a deeply rejuvenating exploration of back health.
Nanna is choosing a 60 minute programme to make the whole experience very accessible... it's a must have for any yoga student or graduate as there have been so many recent developments in the fitness industry as well as in the medical field that confirm that the back is a strong and intelligent structure... a miracle in fact!
Your back does not need protecting so much as it needs movement and active use. It is becoming more and more apparent that cautionary bracing and over-emphasis on core strength can worsen or even cause back pain. This is a great introduction into the wealth of knowledge and experience you'll gain on the Back Care and Wellbeing Course.
In this Masterclass we explore body intelligence and functional core engagement. Discovering new movement approaches to a strong and resilient back for yourself and your friends/colleagues/students is only a small part of the depth you'll experience tonight. You'll discover how to 'relate' to your back, and how to encourage its natural intelligence.
Your body knows the way.
If you are a member of the Dru Professional Network you will be able to accrue 2 CPD hours for attendance at this masterclass. Attendees from other yoga schools will need to check individually for their own CPD credits.
Dates

I particularly enjoyed the bhima warrior posture and the vitality sequence. Also the story and explanation of stretches and muscles. Diaphragm exercise one I will definitely be doing.

I have just completed session 1 of the Swadharma Dru Dance Course and I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the dance. I already feel that I have started to develop some muscle memory and connection with the spirit of the dance. So well done, great teaching. Also great design of a very relevant and creative practice utilising ancient wisdom and symbology to open awareness of Swadharma. Perfectly right for me at this time.
Thank you and I am looking forward to the next sessions enthusiastically.
